Doctors at Al-Hadbah hospital  have successfully separated Siamese twins in one of the uncommon surgeries in Libya.

The hospital administration said the surgery took place on Wednesday, October 5, and lasted for two hours.
It was conducted by Libyan surgeons. The 39-year old mother was admitted to Al-Hadbah Hospital on September 30 to undergo a delivery operation for twin babies.

During the operation, the doctors found out that the co joined twins had their livers attached to each other. The delivery operation lasted for one hour and the mother was allowed to leave while the twin boys were kept at the Newborn Care Unit for the separation surgery.

The Doctors affirmed that their health condition is stable and are expected to leave the hospital in a few days.
